This weekend is Latricia and Eric’s wedding. I already know it’s going to be a great event. Or shall I say reunion.
Location: Dallas Museum of Art
P.S. This will be my 3rd Dallas wedding this year. Pheeeww…
Passion
def. any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling
My passion comes from my mother who is no longer here. As I would not have been photographing today, if it wasn't for her. She had the love for the camera. I am just continuing that love, so I can bring it to the rest of the world.
My passion also comes from my beautiful wife and daughter. They inspire me so much, that I want to bring that inspiration and passion to my clients. I want my passion for life to come across not only in my images, but in the friendships that I make with my clients. As they are truly my canvas that I use to display my work.
I strive to look at the world in a different view each time, as it changes everyday. I may photograph at the same location that I always shoot sessions, but will always look for a different angle, different approach. As each client always brings different feelings, emotions and character to the location.
I hope I can continue to share my vision with my clients and the world. I feel noone really understands how my mind works when taking photographs, as I sometimes have crazy ideas. But, I believe those ideas and visions come from a greater power that I am blessed with.
"Where there is no vision, the people perish."
-Proverbs 29:18

Well, here they are. Melodi & Terry on their very special day. I must say, this is one of the top weddings I have shot. The decor was beautiful, the ceremony was memorable, and the reception was amazing. But, what really set the tone, was the bride and groom. They had such a connection that it was unforgettable.
Melodi & Terry,
Thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your wedding.

I had fun this past weekend. Went up to Dallas to photograph Melodi and Terry’s wedding. And it was an amazing wedding. Can’t wait to show you.
Stay Tuned!! Pics will be up soon. Til then, enjoy the pics below. They had a photobooth and I thought “Why not?!!”. Ha….
I can finally show you Melodi’s bridal pic. What do you think? Gorgeous, huh?

For 2010, I am starting to build client site for my clients. Here is an example, and a small taste of what is to come. Enjoy!!
Also, here is a link if you can see it here!!

Psst……….Her bridal session was too great. I can’t wait til I can show them off.
I’m a tech guy. My mom always called on me to fix things around the house, especially electronics. I may not have fixed everything, but I loved to do it. One day, my stereo wasn’t working, so I unscrewed all the bots and opened it up. I did not have a manual and I sure did not know what I was doing. But, I saw that a wire was not connected. I plugged it back in, put the stereo back together, turned on the power, and it worked. And from then on, I fell in love with electronics and tech toys. (hint: my Electrical Engineering degree)
But, I love things that are innovative, but fun to use. So, every once in a while, I’ll post a tech toy/gadget/software that I think is really cool.
So, today, I introduce you to Google Wave. This is a really great web-based application. It’s like email, messaging, and Facebook rolled into one. I really don’t know how to describe it, so here is a video. But, I think it’s the greatest tool to every come out in the last 10 years. And it’s going to make it so much easier for me to share my photography with everyone.
Also, here are some great add-ons/enhancements:
Last week, I photographed a wonderful couple, Melodi and Terry. And since they meet at Rice University, well you guessed it, we shot there, as well. It was great!! With the help of Terry being a football alumni, we were able to jump on the field to take some pics. I was so excited, since it was my first time being on that field, and I’ve had many photo sessions at Rice University.
So, check out the pics, and show Melodi and Terry a little love. They are getting married next year in Dallas, TX. Comment below.

October 5, 2009 - 7:59 am - Aww I love the pics, especially the umbrella pic. It holds so much significance! I remember when you first left me that voicemail about "the guy holding the umbrella" These pictures are beautiful and I'm so excited for the happy ending/new beginning to the M&T love story!!

October 5, 2009 - 8:03 am - Angie, Thanks. Yeah, that "umbrella" pic is my favorite, as well.
Wow!! Another great couple, with a truly great story. And such an inspiring wedding.
Now, this is what “Love at first sight!!” really means.
He is from New York and she is from Beaumont. He came down to help a friend move from Charlotte to Houston, and the first person he meets……….. is his future wife. Wow!! I had another couple with a story like this (see older posts), and it’s truly great to see couples with long distance relationships make it through and become one.
So, please help me congratulate Jasmine and Darrell on their marriage. (Post comments below)
Location: Chateau Polonez
Also, if you really listen to the song in the slideshow, it really describes their story very well. Just listen. Enjoy!!

October 6, 2009 - 6:42 am - We were there at the Flying Fishbone too that special night:) We had actually brought our friends from Virgina with us. So nice to hear happy stories these days. Our best wishes to you...never go to bed mad and remember the most important word in marriage is COMMUNICATION...say "I feel this or I feel that" not "YOU do this" or "YOU do that"...Enjoy! God bless you both!
October 6, 2009 - 2:43 pm - What a beutiful (and handsome!) couple you make. We were so touched you remembered us and shared the pictures of your special day. Thank you! If you are ever in the Washington DC area - please let us know. Our phone is 540-371-3419 - we would love to hear about how your "new life" together is coming. May God bless and keep you.
October 6, 2009 - 9:17 pm - Beautiful couple. I did not get a chance to meet Darrell but I want to say to you, that you have a gorgeous wife. I wish you guys all the success and happiness that marriage can bring. Jasmine this is your makeup artist and you looked absolutely stunning. Thank you for having such a beautiful canvas which makes my job much easier. However, I like picture #2 and would love to have this in my portfolio and on my website. Talk to you soon
October 7, 2009 - 3:11 pm - Truly Marvelous photos!
I know I’m going to have a new baby crawling around the house soon. Biting on toys and making loud noises. So, I thought, “I need a toy, too”. At least before the little one comes. So, I decided to get some BowFlex dumbells. I think this will help me get in shape, as now I’ll have 2 kids to pick up. One in each arm. Ha….
P.S. I just started P90X, too. And it’s kicking my butt. I need some encouragement to get through the 3 month program.

Once again, I was fortunate to photograph a great wedding. And with the help of one of my photo friend, Viet, we got some great photos.
Great Location. Chateau Polonez. Just look at the photos.
Great Family. You just felt the love and joy for the couple.
And most importantly, a Great Couple. Ashley and Tyrone were fabulous together. Looking back, I just knew from the initial meeting with them, that this wedding was going to be great. And it was. I mean, shoot, they had a great story. Hand it to Tyrone’s persistence and, shall I say, swagger (Ha).
Congrats to Ashley and Tyrone!! Enjoy the slideshow.

“Laissez les Bon Temps Roulez”
Yes, “let the good times roll”. And rolled they did. This wedding was full of energy from the jump. And the end….. well, you just had to be there.
Jamisha and Malcolm were married at the beautiful Ashton Gardens with friends and family from the Pelican, Creole and birth of Jazz state: Louisiana. If you ever want to know how to party, just go to a Louisiana wedding. The dancing never stopped. Man, I almost put down my camera and started doing the alligator dance (J/K…Ha…). But, it ended in a Louisiana traditional umbrella dance, following the bride and groom out to their grand exit.
Enough said……Enjoy!! Congrats Jamisha & Malcolm!!
DON’T FORGET TO COMMENT!!
Location: Ashton Gardens

Also, I can’t forget about Jamisha bridal picture, now that I have the opportunity to post it. Doesn’t she look beautiful?

I knew when you were born and I knew your mother, Bonnie Faye very well. We practically grew up together. I just know she would have been so very proud of you and your wife. Maybe one day soon, I will get a chance to come to Denison and visit. I have not seen the Butler family in 25 or 30 years. Tell your wife, Jamisha that she certainly made a beautiful bride. So take care and let God guide you on your way. There are many crooks and turns in the road but if you let God be your road map, you can never go wrong. I send you and your wife my blessings.
